Today, I made my way to a pond I'd spotted on Google Maps and had wanted to explore it for a while. A nice looking natural pond, out of sight in the middle of nowhere surrounded by trees. I had no idea if there were any fish in it or not, but I had a few casts around and discovered it to be quite shallow and weedy with a lot of old branches on the bottom. I caught two small identical jacks but I'll be back again another time to see what else might be in there.
I then drove over to another pond for an hour where I know there are pike and caught the bigger one below. A good enjoyable couple of hours fishing.

that second pike is tiny, but beautifully marked
