Weir Pool Pike

Today I fished at a local weir pool, the fishing was slow again to start with but it eventually picked up and I ended the day with four nice fish, no record breakers but a good days fishing!

Good going Daz. I have only fished for Chubb & Barbel at that venue.

I got on the Trent today, ROUUUGGGHHHH or what! Wind got the better of me but i stuck it for two hours! I fished the section i gave you directions to L*** H****n, very similar to where you often fish with overhanging tree's etc... but much slower flow, no gates upstream.

Bad luck with the wind Bazz, tried andrews??? HAHA.
LH sounds like it's worth a few sessions when the conditions are a bit better, sounds pikey, pity it's now closed for three months! Time now to get down to the pits/ponds with some lures? I'll bump into you down there sooner or later ;-)

My last river session was on Friday fishing HERE with my mate daft Roy. I just had one small fish, pic HERE and lost another, Roy blanked but another angler had an 11lb beauty which looked much bigger. I took some pics for him with my camera, nice fish.

Cheers! Daz

No wind problems today (rennie's did the trick!) & a couple of Jacks on lure. Several others fishing including the two boat lads from Saturday, i was the only one to catch! They had a good day on Saturday though & banked several doubles..! L*** H***** sounds worth a go
