A Nice Change

After having a few blank sessions lately on my usual fishing areas, I decided to have a change and try somewhere different today, so I fished a stretch of The Trent I'd not fished before. The fishing was hard because of the very low, clear water and the gusty wind but I stuck it out and was pleased to end the morning with this beauty!

I don't usually weigh them unless they're looking like they're heading towards the 20 mark ;-) but I'd give it a bit more than an 8, it was a nice thick fish, got to give me at least a 10 Bazz?? LOL. The thing I liked about this fish was the vivid colors, not come out too well on the pic but had lovely tinges of green and purple especially around the head and gill area.

What makes me think it is smaller is its size in proportion to your hand supporting its belly. You know what they say about men with big hands.....? LOL

Big hands = Big gloves? ;-)
